Is Your Pet Experiencing Pain?

Sometimes it can be difficult to tell if your pet is hurting.  Animals can hide their pain or put on a “brave face” for their owners.  Here are some symptoms that can indicate pain:

• Sitting or lying in an abnormal position
• Statue-like appearance
• Restlessness, circling
• Whining or crying
• Trembling
• Poor appetite
• Panting
• Depression or lethargy
• Not grooming
• Difficulty sleeping
• Acting withdrawn
• Hiding
• Being hypersensitive or irritable
• Reluctant to move
